Completing your verification

In this article we'll go through how to complete your personal and your business/association verification in Holvi.

  • Please do NOT submit us your confidential documents via email because for security reasons we can not accept them
  • The documents you upload to your Holvi account will be processed in within 2-3 business days (Monday to Friday)
  • You will also receive an email from Holvi with the results of your identity verification or, if necessary, a request for additional documents
  • Please note that it is NOT possible to do payments out from your Holvi account, send any invoices or start selling through the online store until your personal identity and business/association information has been successfully verified.

Completing personal identity verification

If you live in Germany, Austria

In order to verify your identity please go to https://holvi.com/home/identity and upload to your Holvi account the following documents:

  • A picture of you and your passport 

    Please upload a clear photo of yourself holding your identity document next to your face, like a selfie, as in the below example. Make sure your face is clearly visible and the information displayed on the identity document is readable. If you or the identification document are cut off or out of frame you will be asked for a new photo.

  • Proof of address - anmeldung or a utility bill scan (no older than three months) with your name and current residing address on it (personal, not business). It can be a phone bill, electricity bill, tax card, insurance bill or any other official document that has the previously mentioned information.

 

  • Passport copy - we need a clear copy of your passport, this can be either a picture or scan. It must be in color and please make sure, that your fingers or something else doesn't cover any of the information. Try as well to avoid the flash of your camera being reflected in the passport when taking a picture.

 

If you live in Finland

In order to verify your identity please go to https://holvi.com/home/identity and verify your identity using your personal bank credentials (TUPAS verification).

If you don't have personal bank credentials or if your bank credentials are not accepted in Holvi please go to https://holvi.com/home/identity and upload to your Holvi account the following documents:

  • A picture of you and your passport 

    Please upload a clear photo of yourself holding your identity document next to your face, like a selfie, as in the below example. Make sure your face is clearly visible and the information displayed on the identity document is readable. If you or the identification document are cut off or out of frame you will be asked for a new photo.

Germany and Austria

In order to verify your business or association information please go to https://holvi.com/home/identity/company-documents/ and upload to your Holvi account the following documents:

Registered Companies (GmbH, UG, GbR,...)

  • Business registration ID (“Firmenbuch/Handelsregisterauszug”)
  • Signed representative authorisation form (for more partners/shareholders)
  • GbR: Partnership agreement, company registration or tax office registration

Sole traders/Freelancer

  • Business registration ID (if applicable)
  • VAT summary report (if VAT liable), otherwise income tax assessment or “Wirtschafts-ID" (for Germany only)

Registered associations

Non-registered associations

 


Finland

In order to verify your business or association information please go to https://holvi.com/home/identity/company-documents/ and upload to your Holvi account the following documents:

Limited liability company/General partnership/Limited partnership/Cooperative

Sole trader/Other registered entity

  • Business ID, if possible
  • Trade registry extract (kaupparekisteriote), if possible

Private person carrying trade

  • Personal tax card (verokortti)

Registered association

Unregistered association

  • A free-form document which includes the following: Name of association, purpose of the assocation, list of members (first and last name, nationality if not Finnish)

Young entrepreneur (NY / Nuori yrittäjä)

  • NY registration extract (NY rekisteröintitodistus)

 

Please do NOT submit us your confidential documents via email. For security reasons Holvi accepts only documents that have been submitted via Holvi's verification pages (above).

The documents you upload to your Holvi account will be processed in within 2-3 business days (Monday to Friday).

When your documents have been reviewed you will receive an email from Holvi with the results of your identity verification or, if necessary, a request for additional documents.

Please note that it is NOT possible to do payments out from your Holvi account until your identity has been successfully verified.
