1. General customisation tools

You may customise your store by adding a background image and a logo to the store. In addition to this you may include a store description, product description and images and your own terms and conditions.

Other customising options are not available at the moment. You may access all your online store settings by clicking the settings icon in your online store menu. 

2. Setting up your store

For setting up your store, simply choose the online store icon in your home view, and press Start in the opening view.
 
Adding the information in the Store settings is not compulsory but it is recommended. You can for example define your store name, modify your store address, manage shipping fees and your store logo and background. 
After this you are ready to create your first products and publish them! 
When you have added all the required info in your store settings, you can start creating your first products and also view your store. By clicking create first product you´ll be dericted to add a new item. Simply fill in the fields and add your product picture, and your product is ready to be published! 
 
 
You are able to ask an additional check out question from your customers regarding their preferences and to personalise your products. If you want this question to be mandatory, simply tick the box ("this question is mandatory"). 
 

3. Adding the online store to your current pricing 

If you are using a pricing plan, where the online store is not supported, you are able to set up your store, but not to publish your product. For publishing, please update your pricing plan or add the online store by agreeing to the note you get when trying to publish your item. 
 
To activate the online store as an add on to your pricing plan, just choose the account from your home view, click on account settings, choose subscription and scroll to Add more features in the view on the screen. From here choose Online store > activate. When you want to disable the feature, just deactivate it from the same place.  
 

 

4. Creating and managing shipping fees
Start by accessing your store settings page. Scroll down a bit and you see a section where you can create different kinds of shipping fees. Each shipping fee you create consists of 4 different steps:

1. Shipping area

  • Domestic shipping
  • EU wide shipping (NOTE: includes also Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway)
  • Worldwide shipping

2. Price

3. VAT rate

4. Income category

You can create one shipping fee for each shipping area. A correct type of shipping fee is automatically added into the shopping cart once your customer has

  • selected a product that needs shipping
  • given their country during the store checkout.

Please note that if you specify shipping fees for one, but not all areas (e.g only domestic, but no worldwide shipping fees), then customers can only order products that need shipping to the areas that you specified a fee for.   

Applying shipping fees into products

Once you have created your range of shipping fees options you can select which products you want to apply them to. You can do this by creating a new item and ticking the Shipping fees apply to this product box right under Quantity field in the item creation page. If you have already created some store items you can edit them and include a shipping fee.

Selecting that a shipping fee applies to an item will add a correct type of shipping fee (domestic, EU or worldwide) into the shopping cart whenever this item is present in the shopping cart. The product quantity does not matter.

5. Creating and managing discount codes

Note that discount codes are always item based. Holvi does not yet offer basket based shipping codes. The total amount of discount codes relates to the total available discount codes and not to usage per person.

How it works

  1. Give a name to the discount code (this will not be visible to customer)
  2. Create the actual code - the code must be between 6-20 characters long and special characters and letters such as Ä and Ö are not supported. You may use numbers and letters. For example: SUMMERSALE2017
  3. Define discount type - percentage / fixed price discount / replace the current price with a new one
  4. Define the percentage or amount that should be discounted
  5. You may define a minimum price that the shopping cart must have before this discount can be used - you may also define how many code uses you have available
  6. Select the products that this discount applies to

6. Creating and managing store item sections

How it works

  1. Give a name to your item section
  2. Define whether you want to show the section in our front page or within a different section
  3. Pick the products you want to include into this section
  4. Save the ready item section.

 7. Online store payment methods

If you have a Holvi online store your customers will have a wide range of payment options to use for their shopping. All of the below methods are available in your Holvi online store.

SOFORT Banking

SOFORT Banking (in Austria, Germany, Switzerland known as SOFORT Überweisung) is an online direct payment method which uses online banking systems established by banks and acts as an intermediate between an online shop and a consumer’s online banking account. SOFORT payments are enabled upon request. Please contact support@holvi.com for more information. 

Consumers who select SOFORT Banking as payment method for an online purchase will be directed straight to the sofort.com payment form. All transfer data is handed over automatically so that the consumer only needs to log into his bank account using account number and PIN. After a successful login, a form will open on SOFORT Banking containing the transfer order for the customer’s bank. All the customer needs to do is authorize the transaction using a TAN (transaction authentication code). Any information is delivered to the customer´s bank in an encrypted form. Merchants receive confirmation of the transfer order in real time and may dispatch the goods instantly.

Advantages for merchants

  • Confirmation of a payment made with SOFORT Banking is received in real-time.
  • No waiting time before the goods are to be delivered as it is the case with payments in advance, e.g. bank transfer.
  • Convenient for customers as they can use their usual online banking login details.
  • Virtually risk-free because customers may not reverse the payment (no chargeback).

Advantages for customers

  • No need to register or open a virtual account and no need to transfer money first to an account.
  • Fast delivery of goods because the merchant receives a confirmation of the transaction immediately.

eps Online-Überweisung

The online payment method eps Online-Überweisung is based on the technical standard eps (e-payment standard). Eps is an open and standardized XML interface between online-shops, E-Government, public institutions and banks which offer the eps interface to initiate irrevocable online payments. Eps Online-Überweisung allows customers to make online payments via their online banking applications.

Eps Online-Überweisung is offered by Austrian banks as a convenient and secure online payment method or e-payment in online shops or E-Government processes. Customers who select eps Online-Überweisung as payment method for an online purchase are directed to their online banking system. After a successful login, a form will open on eps Online-Überweisung containing the transfer order for the customer’s bank. All relevant details of the purchase such as amount, reason for payment, customer details and the transfer execution date are already filled in. All the customer needs to do is authorize the transaction, e.g. using a TAN (transaction authentication code). Once the transfer order is accepted by the customer´s bank, the merchant receives a confirmation and may dispatch the goods instantly.

Advantages for merchants

  • Merchants receive a real-time eps payment confirmation message with the status of the underlying credit transfer issued by the customer´s bank.
  • Based on the received payment status and remittance identifier, goods or services may be delivered instantly.
  • High consumer potential, many buyers thanks to the familiarity of the online banking system.
  • Real time information during the processing.
  • Technical security to prevent fraud.

Advantages for customers

  • Customers may use their familiar, trusted and secure online banking system.
  • No additional registration or codes are required.
  • No additional costs will arise.

Integration information

To integrate and offer the payment method eps Online-Überweisung for your customers in your online shop, merchants have to conclude and sign the eps merchant contract; further information should be obtained directly from the merchant´s account holding bank.

8. Editing the texts

You may edit your store description, product infos and receipts messages with markdown text editing language. Here are the rules, you can also see them in your account under Format help under each description field.

9. Image sizes

All images are scaled to fit the window. This is why the bigger the image, the better quality it will be. But the file size should'n exceed the maximum 1MB

Store logo

  • Pixels: square image - the bigger, the better
  • Size: 0,5-0,9MB (max 1MB)

Store background

  • Pixels: landscape image (3840 x 700) - the bigger, the better
  • Size: 0,5-0,9MB (max 1MB)

Store item

  • Pixels: square image - the bigger, the better
  • Size: 0,5-0,9MB (max 1MB)
