Late last month, we revealed a new direction for the Holvi card as a member of the Mastercard community. Now we’re back with exciting news. From tomorrow, we’ll issue the Holvi card on our own – adding an extra layer of stability and security to the card!

I’m an existing customer. Does anything change for me?
The card type of your existing card is changing from prepaid to debit, while everything else will stay the same. You can continue using your existing card. Your card number, security code, expiry date and PIN code will remain the same, and you can take advantage of the new card type right away.
What does the change from Prepaid to Debit mean for me?
Debit cards typically have a better acceptance. This means that you can potentially use your Holvi Business Debit Card for transactions that were not possible before.
However, it might take a while for merchants to notice that the card functionality has changed. We’ll test this internally and contact the biggest merchants to make sure that the changes are reflected as soon as possible. You can expect an update via email when we know most services recognise your card as a debit card.
Everything else will continue to work as before. Your Holvi Business Debit Mastercard card is directly linked to your Holvi account, so you need to make sure you have enough balance to complete a payment.
I’m an existing customer. Can I order one of the new cards?
Yes, you can – but you don’t need to. The functionality of old and new cards is identical, only the design is changing. The rest works as usual. We will automatically send you a new one three months before your current card expires.
Where can I find my card statement?
You can still find all your card transactions on your account statement and in the transaction overview in your account. The reporting of payments will remain the same and we will not send you a separate card statement.
Are the card limits changing?
The card limits will not change. You can find more information about the limits here.
Will the card and/or ATM withdrawal fees change?
No, the card fees will remain the same.
Does this mean that if Wirecard goes bankrupt my card and account are not affected?
Exactly. The card is now issued by us directly and a bankruptcy of the Wirecard AG or Wirecard Card Solutions will not affect the functionality of your Holvi Business Debit Card.
