If you have a payment account in US dollars (USD) or British pounds (GBP), you can create a virtual card linked to that account. This allows you to spend directly from your USD or GBP balance - no need to convert to EUR first.
How it works
Each virtual card is linked to one payment account.
- When you pay with the card, the amount is taken directly from that account’s balance.
- If you pay in a different currency (for example, using a USD card to pay in EUR), the standard Holvi currency conversion rate applies.

Limits and usage
- You can view and update your card limits in the app
- Each card counts toward your total number of allowed cards
- If there isn’t enough balance in the linked account, the payment will be declined
How to create a USD or GBP virtual card
- Go to Cards in the app
- Tap Order new card
- Choose your USD or GBP account
- Add card details
- Confirm to create your virtual card

Will I pay extra for using the card?
There’s no additional card fee. If you pay in a different currency, the standard Holvi currency conversion rate applies.
Can I use my USD card to pay in GBP?

You’ll find them in the same place as your other card transactions. Tap any transaction to view details.
