2. What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a regulation through which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, and the European Commission intend to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU) by unifying the regulation.
GDPR sets legal guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information of individuals within the European Union (EU). One of the reasons GDPR was enacted was to give individuals more control on how their personal data is used. For this GDPR gives data subjects multiple rights towards their data. The right to be informed is typically done through privacy notice. The right to access gives each individual a possibility to have confirmation that their data is being processed by accessing their personal data. This means that data controller must be able to give an access to data or give the data for individual.
3. How does GDPR affect me as a Holvi customer?
As a customer of Holvi, you will be able to use all of your data subject rights through a dedicated platform. You just need to fill a web form in Holvi site, and submit your request to Holvi’s privacy team. We will process your request and respond to you without undue delay not later than within a month.
Holvi helps entrepreneurs to respond to their customer requests. Holvi will provide entrepreneurs a possibility to download or erase the customer data they have from their individual customers. Each Holvi entrepreneur will be able to go under contacts in their account, select the user in question and on the right upper corner choose whether they want to download or remove the user information under ‘more’. This way each Holvi entrepreneur is able to provide their customer the data the entrepreneur holds on them. Even if the Holvi entrepreneur removes their customer information, Holvi will retain the information needed for bookkeeping and AML purposes under the relevant laws.
4. How can I access my information?
