To be paid from non-SEPA countries, you can now receive international transfers via SWIFT in Holvi. Here’s how.
Receving SWIFT payments
To receive an international transfer, provide the person paying with your complete bank details:
- Your Holvi IBAN and BIC (visible in the start page of Holvi.com and the Holvi mobile app)
- Your own address
Additionally please note:
If you’re using a Finnish IBAN with Holvi (starting with FI), provide the following bank details:

If the person paying asks for the receiving bank’s address, send them the following:

Correspondent or intermediary bank
In some cases the sender needs information regarding the correspondent bank, which for Holvi is BCIR.
BIC: HOLVFIHH
The following information can be forwarded to the sender bank: Please ensure you include our Finland BIC HOLVFIHH, as the intermediary bank for any payments to our German BIC HOLVDEB1 and linked DE IBANs. The FI BIC should be included in field 56/Agent 1 for MT/MX messages.
My international payment (SWIFT) hasn’t arrived yet
Holvi can receive SWIFT payments in EUR. If the payment was sent in another currency, it cannot be paid into your account. Please ask the sender to resend the payment and to ask the sender bank to convert the currency.
In order for us to check your expected payment, please send us a complete and legible (in English) payment receipt with the information of the sending bank, including:
- Your bank details (IBAN, BIC, name)
- The payment type
- The amount and currency of the payment
- The payment date
We will then get in touch with our payment experts to check on your incoming payment.
