💡 A power of attorney (POA) is always required if the person applying for account ownership does not have sole signing authority according to the association or company’s official register extract.
When you open a new Holvi account or want to change the creator (main user), the person opening the account or being appointed as the new creator must be able to prove their right to sign for the company or association based on official registration documents.
As part of the process, we’ll always check the company’s or association’s registry extract, and the rules for signing rights stated in the extract.

What should the power of attorney look like?
If a power of attorney is required, it must meet the following criteria:

Signatures
The document must be signed either:By hand, or
Electronically using strong authentication (e.g. with Visma Sign).

Clear and accurate information
The power of attorney must clearly state:The details of the person being authorised as the new Holvi account owner.
The details of the person giving the authorisation.
The details of the association.

Can the power of attorney be signed electronically?
Yes — digital signatures are accepted if completed using strong authentication, for example through Visma Sign.

How do I send the power of attorney to Holvi?
The current creator can upload the POA and other documents by logging in via browser at Holvi.com and going to:
Profile icon (top right corner) > My Businesses > Have your company details changed? > Add.
If this isn’t possible, the new creator can also send the documents directly to our customer support via email or Messaging.

Where can I get our registry extract?
In Finland, you can obtain the official registration extract from the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH).
