What are invoice reminders?
Invoice reminders are a new feature within our sales invoicing tool that allows you to easily send follow-up emails for unpaid invoices. Previously, you could only resend the original invoice without any additional context or message. With reminders, you can send a polite nudge, ensuring your customers know an invoice is outstanding.
How do I send an invoice reminder?
It's simple! No extra setup is needed.
- Open any invoice in your Holvi account.
- Scroll down to the new "Reminders" section.
- Click the "Send reminder" button.
You can also view a list of all sent reminders for that invoice.
Can I customise the reminder email?
Yes! You can control the default email subject and message for your reminders in your Invoicing settings. The reminder email will be sent from "invoicing@holvi.com," but replies will go directly to your email address as set in your invoicing settings.
What's included in the reminder email?
For this initial version the reminder email will include your custom message and the original invoice attached.
What about late fees or different reminder types?
Right now, our reminders focus on sending a polite email message with the original invoice attached.
However, we're already working on the next steps, which will include:
- The ability to create and send a payment reminder as a new document type, to which late payment reminder fees can be added.
- Looking further ahead, we aim to offer automation (e.g., automatically sending reminders X days before or after a due date) and support for sending via e-invoice operators.
Does this feature cost extra?
No, invoice reminders are included with your existing Holvi plan.
Does this apply to all Holvi customers?
Yes, this feature is available to all Holvi customers with sales invoicing capabilities in Finland, Austria, Germany, and other Eurozone countries.
