Adding your VAT number to Holvi
You can add your VAT number (Value Added Tax identification number) at any time in Holvi.
When you first open a Holvi account, you’ll be asked if your business is VAT-liable and to provide your VAT number during the business verification process. If you don’t have a VAT number then, that’s perfectly fine — you can add it later.
Adding your VAT number allows you to use VAT features in Holvi’s invoicing, bookkeeping, and payment tools.
How to add your VAT number
1. Log in at Holvi.com.
2. Click Profile (top right corner) and select My businesses.
3. If you have multiple businesses, choose the one you want to update.
4. Next to VAT liability, click Edit.
5. From the dropdown menu, select Liable.
6. Insert your VAT number.
7. Remember to save your changes!
What is my VAT number and where can I find it?
A VAT number is a unique EU identifier for businesses trading goods or services across borders, enabling tax authorities to monitor VAT obligations.
Your VAT number depends on the country your business is registered in.
