At Holvi, we do all we can to keep your account secure. But strong security is a partnership – you play a key role in protecting your personal and banking information.
Below are best practices to help you stay safe.
Take care of your personal information
Your account number, PIN, passwords, and security codes are the keys to your account. Treat them like cash – never share them, and don’t store them in unsafe places.
What to do:
Your account number, PIN, passwords and other identification methods are the keys to your account. To protect your information, never write them down or share them with anyone else.
Practice caution when posting online and on social media – criminals can use your personal details to commit fraud.
Keep any documents containing personal information someplace safe or, if no longer needed, dispose of them securely.
In short:
- Never share your account number, PIN or passwords
- Don’t write down your login details or personal info and never store important banking data in your mobile or email
- Don’t share your login details or personal info, either in person or online
- Dispose of personal documents securely, or store them somewhere safe
- Use only verified, secure and trusted websites for online banking
💡 Know what we’ll ask
A Holvi employee will never ask you for your login details, card number or confirmation code received via SMS.
If someone claims to be from Holvi and asks for this information – it’s a scam. End the conversation immediately and contact our support through official channels.
Regularly check your account activity and respond immediately if you notice anything unusual. You can lock and unlock your card in the Holvi app.
Take care of your computer & mobile devices
Recommended actions:
- Keep your operating system and apps (especially the Holvi app) up to date
- Install and update virus protection
- Install and update anti-spyware tools
- Install and update personal firewalls
- Only use apps and software from trusted suppliers (e.g. App Store, Google Play)
- Enable screen locks and use fingerprint or facial recognition where available
- Try to avoid logging in via public, open or free WiFi – use mobile data or a trusted network instead. There’s a higher risk of your data being compromised, as you don’t know who has set up the connection or who else is using it.
💡Keep your Holvi app up to date
We regularly update our app to improve security and performance. Always install the latest version to benefit from the newest protections.
Beware of spam emails & phishing attacks
- Use a spam filter to reduce unwanted emails
- Never click on suspicious links or open attachments from unknown senders
- Never respond to spam or suspicious emails – doing so will likely increase the amount of spam you get
- Be skeptical of messages with urgent language
- Only log in through our official website or app – bookmark it for easy access
💡 Don’t log in through search engines
Check the website URL carefully – fake banking sites often look nearly identical to the real thing. Make sure you’re at: https://www.holvi.com or https://login.app.holvi.com.
