Take care of your personal information
Your account number, PIN, passwords and other identification methods are the keys to your account. To protect your information, never write them down or share them with anyone else. Practice caution when posting online and on social media – criminals can use your personal details to commit fraud. Keep any documents containing personal information someplace safe or, if no longer needed, dispose of them securely.
In short:
- Never share your account number, PIN or passwords
- Don’t write down your login details or personal info and never store important banking data in your mobile or email
- Don’t share your login details or personal info, either in person or online
- Dispose of personal documents securely, or store them somewhere safe
- Use only verified, secure and trusted websites for online banking
💡 Know what we’ll ask
A Holvi employee will never ask you for your login details, card number or confirmation code received via SMS!
We do all we can to keep your account secure. However, remember that protecting your account number, PIN, passwords and security details is your responsibility.
Regularly check your account activity and respond immediately if you notice anything unusual. You can lock and unlock your card in the Holvi app.
Take care of your computer & mobile devices
- Keep your software up to date
- Install and update virus protection
- Install and update anti-spyware tools
- Install and update personal firewalls
- Use only programmes from trusted suppliers
- Try to avoid logging in via public, open or free WiFi – there’s a higher risk of your data being compromised, as you don’t know who has set up the connection or who else is using it

Beware of spam emails & phishing attacks
- Use a spam filter to reduce unwanted emails
- Never respond to spam or suspicious emails – doing so will likely increase the amount of spam you get
- If you open a spam email, remember: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is
